Luis Cordón

Partner and Head of the Litigation and Dispute Resolution Practice, Cases & Lacambra

Luis' expertise covers commercial and banking litigation, representing national and international companies, financial institutions and investment funds in their cases in Spain and abroad. He has intervened in relevant law-suits in matters concerning distribution agreements, agency, franchise, supply and transport. He has been involved in proceedings arising from unfair competition acts, as well as shareholders disputes.

 

His advice to Spanish and foreign credit institutions in disputes and claims arising from the interdealer capital market (financial derivatives, repos and debt) constitutes the Banking & Finance Litigation practice of the firm. He also advises against actions brought by professional investors who commercialize and distribute financial products. Luis Cordón acts regularly as an arbitrator and as a counsel in multiple arbitral proceedings, both national and international, in trading, specialized banking and investment cases.

 

Before joining Cases & Lacambra, Luis Cordón developed his career in the litigation department of Landwell-PwC, based in its Barcelona office. Previously, he was lawyer at the litigation area of Deloitte. He is regular lecturer of the Barcelona Bar Association, member of the International Bar Association Arbitration Committee, and of the Spanish Club of Arbitration (CEA). He also collaborates in important publications, economic journals and specialized magazines, having recently intervened in the preparation of the Legal Encyclopaedia of the Spanish Arbitration.
